Starting his third decade in dance music, it’s fair to say that Clif – a rising London-based UK Garage DJ now turned highly respected UAE promoter and club owner – is a true veteran of the scene.

An award-nominated DJ, he’s called the UAE home since 2004, establishing himself as a much sought after DJ, promoter and club owner. A hugely versatile DJ happy playing classic soul and funk at brunch or hands-in-the-air peak time anthems, he’s comfortable across a wide range of genres, including RnB, Hip Hop, Afro Beats, Nu-Disco, House, Soul and Funk. During his time in the Emirates, he’s played many major clubs and brought some of the biggest party brands to the UAE including Ministry of Sound, Hed Kandi, Guilty Pleasures, Defected, Space Ibiza & TwiceAsNice to Dubai & Abu Dhabi. Alongside that, he’s held down guest slots at some of the UAE’s most prestigious events, including the 15,000 capacity Sandance, warmed up for Hip Hop legends Salt ‘n’ Pepa at the DWTC while he also co-hosted the live urban mix show The Flow on Channel 4FM to name but a few.

With promotion and DJ duties under control, he made the bold move into bricks and mortar, owning and running Rush Nightclub in Abu Dhabi for 5 years. With the club winning several prestigious awards, notably in the Time Out Abu Dhabi best Ladies Night category. Following on from this in 2017/18 Cliff is now balancing DJ life and venue consultancy. You can find him spinning at the new Filini Garden on Yas Island, Funch party brunch at Crowne Plaza Yas Island, Blu Sky in the city centre once a week and at the Address boulevard hotel Dubai on Tuesday & Wednesdays.

It’s all a far cry from the start of his career. Hooked on music from a young age, he started distributing home-made mix tapes at school, the product of countless hours honing his skills in his bedroom. Following a break out set on Pirate Radio in London via Supreme FM, he moved onto So Solid’s well established Station Delight where he held down the coveted Drivetime slot for 3 years under the alias DJ Wiseguy. That led to guest slots on London’s Choice FM, sets for Garage Nation and international gigs, as he took his bumping UK Garage sets to Germany, Sweden, Aiya Napa, Faliraki and Malia to name a few.

With his third decade of dance music bringing with it new challenges and club conquests, Clif looks certain to cement his reputation as one of the UAE’s leading DJs, promoters and club owners.
