An established and sort after DJ on the UAE music scene, playing at high-end corporate events and 5 Star Hotels across the region.
Dj-Jas has spun her decks at Fashion Show’s and Event’s for Diesel, Local Fashion designers, Adidas and Red Bull, Dusit Thani at her bi-weekly residency gig (Tuesday and Thursday) The Music Room, AM Nights and OMG nights opening for famous International DJ’s, Wafi, Private Weddings, Private Parties, Pool Parties, boat parties and recently played in Madrid for a warm up gig for the Wii festival.
Her music style is bouncy beats when it come’s to a clubbing atmosphere but she plays everything from 70’s Funk, 80’s Classics, 90’s and 2000’s Floor pleaser’s, Rock, Rnb, Hip Hop, Pop, All styles of house depending on the mood lounge to progressive and everything in between. She feeds off the energy from each individual gig she plays at, reads the crowd and tailor makes music to fit.
Jas comes from a mixed background of British and Jamaican. Growing up with the influences of Jamaican music, especially Reggae and Reggaton she would say this is where she first fell in love with music. Into her teens she started to listen to a diverse amount of music from pop, RnB, Hip Hop, House and Rock. She realized it wasn’t the style of music that she fell in love with but just the song, beat, words and how they made her feel.
Jas started getting DJ lessons at the age of 19 years old in Manchester then travelled overseas to Dubai in 2008 and her jobs were always attached to music from managing various Night Clubs and Live Music Venue’s where she won a prestigious Time Out Award for “Best Live Music Venue”.
